“God Speaks Through His Word”

“God Speaks Through His Word”

“God Speaks Through His Word”

God speaks to us through His Word — only through His Word.
Hebrews 1:1-2 says, “God… hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son.”
That means everything God wants to say lines up with Scripture.

Now, God may use different circumstances to help bring that Word to light.

Sometimes, it’s through the Spirit leading you — but the Spirit will never lead you against the Bible.
John 16:13 says, “When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.”
And that truth always matches God’s written Word and His will.

Sometimes it’s through preaching. But be careful — not every preacher preaches from the Word.
Acts 17:11 says the Bereans “searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
So use biblical discernment and make sure the preaching is in context.

God can also speak through confirmation of circumstances — when you’re faced with choices, the right one will align with His Word and His will.
Proverbs 3:6 reminds us, “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Through all of this — the Spirit, preaching, circumstances, and decisions — it all comes back to the Word of God.
That’s how He speaks.
And yes, sometimes God may speak audibly, but it will always confirm what’s already written.

So when people say, “God is silent,” the truth is — He’s not.
The problem is often that our flesh drowns out His voice.
James 1:22 says, “Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only.”
It’s not that God isn’t speaking — it’s that people don’t want to listen.

And remember John 1:1“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Jesus is the Word.
So when God speaks through His Word, it always points back to Jesus Christ — the Living Word.

God bless.
