In life some people are competitors, and some people just go with the flow of life. This is fine, if you are talking about sports or games, but when it comes to the Christian life, we should all strive to be winners for Christ and live our lives to gain victory through him. Let's take a look at Paul. Paul writes in Phillippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Before Paul jotted this down, he had gone through many perils in his missionary journey. He was stoned, shipwrecked, beaten, whipped with stripes, imprisoned, and so on. Even through all that, he still found joy in the persecution for the cause of Christ. He still found purpose in taking the pain and torture for publicly preaching the truth.

If you want to find victory in God’s grace, the most important thing you’ll need to do is decide. We all make decisions in life. In life, we do things every day. Whether it be eating, going to our job, or heading out to church, there’s one thing all of these activities have in common. A decision was made. You have to decide what to eat, decide what career you want for a job, and decide which church to go to that preaches God's Word. In essence, the decision comes first. If you want to thrive in God’s grace, you need to decide if you want to have victory in the first place and proclaim that you won't defeated.

1 John 5:4 says  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. As a born-again believer, we can gain victory in overcoming the attacks of satan and the temptation of our flesh through our obedience by faith. Keep serving, keep reading your bible, be deep in prayer every day. Moreover, Do these things early! There’s an old saying I heard a pastor say which is “If you have God in the morning, He’ll be with you throughout the day.

Psalm 5:3 says My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will i direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. What are you doing when you first wake up? Are you checking your phone, looking at your work schedule, fixing up breakfast? Or, are you praying for God’s Blessing, reading your bible giving him praise, or going through your devotional? In my experience, God always makes my day better when I start off with Him. It’s when I don’t make time to be in my Bible first thing in the morning is when my day is fueled with frustration, anxiety, and things not working out. Make time to walk with him. If that means you need to wake up a little earlier, then do it!

Like I said earlier, the first step to gaining victory through God’s grace is you need to decide. Decide to be obedient to the Lord. Proclaim this when you first wake up. Meditate on the Word, read your devotional, Praise Our Great God, and go through your day with the sole purpose to serve Him and give him the glory in everything you do. I hope this helps! God Bless!

Decide to be with the Lord in the morning, so he can be with you throughout the day.
